Our Washington, DC team is currently assisting our client in hiring Information Assurance Professionals for contract opportunities. Candidates MUST be US Citizens and MUST be able to obtain a DoD Clearance.
Responsibilities:
· Perform Information Security Engineer, Certification and Accreditation and/or Computer Forensics activities for Federal Government agencies and/or private sector partners.
· These individuals must apply their expertise to sensitive government and commercial partner systems and networks requiring specialized security features and procedures. Responsibilities may include creating security plans and policies, conducting risk/vulnerability assessments, security tests and evaluations, penetration testing, supporting the overall security program including policy, procedures, and standards, developing and following C&A schedules, assessing the Information Assurance (IA) risk of the agency’s IT systems, conducting audits, ensuring agency IT documents are compliant with the Agency and/or DoD security policies and procedures, as well as reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness using technical and analytical skills.
· These individuals must be able to work on diverse problems and contribute to the development of the agency’s goals and objectives. As well as, configure and implement the recommended solutions and transition controls with the Agency’s Information Security Teams.
Minimum Key Skill Set:
· BA/BS degree preferred or related professional experience
· 3+ years of experience within the Information Assurance field.
· Knowledge of Information Assurance/systems security policy, firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, LAN/WAN packet devices, routers, and manageable switches, computer forensics, NIST, FISMA, and DITSCAP/DIACAP.
· Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a DoD Clearance.
· Knowledge of Information Assurance/systems and tools
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Prior Federal Government experience preferred
Desired Skills:
· Active security certifications (CISSP, CCIE, CCNP, CCNA, GIAC, SecurityPlus, MSCE, etc.)
· Program Management Certification Active security clearance (Top Secret a plus)
